It's this time of the year where athletes and coaches alike reflect on the past season. Looking back I can swiftly sum it up with - amazing! Pictures say more than words, but nonetheless you'll find a short summary and all my athletes results attached at the end of this article.
I kicked off the year in Texas at Michael Johnson Performance, probably the best sport performing centers I have ever been to, founded by legendary Michael Johnson. All athletes I have worked with were just phenomenal characters, driven, enthusiastic about every single workout and simply hard working. Mike Smith, the para triathlete, has earned to be named in particular.
Sprint time is swim time. Technique training in Strebersdorf was on the plate and showed top swim results later in open water races. Further, we could engage Brigitte Stocker, our beloved bike pro, to pass on all her knowledge about bike technique at the highest level.
The triathlon summer started with an intense triathlon camp at our beloved Fuschlsee. Working in this small group was valuable and fun. Special thanks shout out to the entire team of Hotel Jakob, who does their utmost best making our camp successful year by year. If you're interested in our triathlon camp, sign up for our quarterly newsletter!
The summer ended with Team USC numerously represented at the Vienna Triathlon Olympic Distance Race. Our club grows continuously and the second consecutive year we conducted our club championships at this race. Congrats again to all podium places and our relay team!
